I don’t have much use for tabs and never did. But there was a time when I collected them and encouraged fans to send them in. Then I got the impression that we were gonna talk somebody into putting out a Meat Puppets songbook, so I took ‘em down. That never happened, but I’m still not interested in messing with tabs. But someone else might, so here’s over a hundred of them zipped up in one easy-to-download archive:
The individuals responsible are listed below (and if any are less than grateful for their inclusion here, I hope they’ll let me know post haste.) Most are rendered in the popular HTML markup language and should be easily viewable in the browser of your choice.
Please note: I’m not going to add any more tabs to this site. Instead of sending them to me, the tab fans among you ought to pool your resources and build a fan page of your own, using one of the many free hosting options available.
The archive should include (but is not limited to) the following:

Wow! Thanks Mr. Bostrom! I want to say that I’m 16 yrs old and The Meat Puppets are my favorite band. I love the rawness and sound of every album from I to Mirage to To High To Die, and to find all these tabs in one place gave me a hard-on the size of Minnesota.
Thanks Derrick, you’re my hero!!!!

i dig the presentation of the tabs, a zipped file containing them all, you can browse at your leisure. now that the compliment is out of the way here’s the real reason i’m commenting. i’ve searched the net long and hard for plateau guitar tabs but when i search for mp guitar tabs the sites rarely have it and if they do the page or file is corrupted. when i specified and searched for mp plateau tabs i got nothing but thousands of hits for nirvana doing plateau. i have nothing against nirvana but i want the mp version, and it kind of irritates me that so many people associate plateau with nirvana, their version is good but you must give credit where credit is due. i guess thats just the trademark of our generation, hear a good loop, take the song redo it then put it in the mainstream knowing damn well that kids today barely remember anything from grunge on so theres little chance they’ll know any good classics and they continue thinking that these modern pop stars are so great and original and never know that they’re con artists. i’ll end with this, its very rare that a cover or a remix is as good as or better than the original, there was soul in the original, someone felt very strongly when creating the original and when someone covers it they just don’t have the same soul.
thank you and you should add guitar tabs for plateau
