Too High to Die is one of the first albums I ever bought. I was definitely excited to hear that the band is going to be releasing a new album soon! You guys are amazing.

Hi, Derrick, I tried to post this before on another page but I think I screwed it up and it didn't post.

Anyway, I first came across you guys when my friends in the Urinals and the Last started putting together two compilations, Keats Rides a Harley and Warfrat Tales. I was the drummer for Earwigs, S-Squad, and Hector and the Clockwatchers on those records. We came to see you at the Cathay de Grande right after Keats came out... I've loved your guys ever since.

Favorite album is Up on the Sun - it was the soundtrack to a camping trip I made to Zion Canyon in Utah. Swimming Ground is forever a reminder of that trip!

Thanks for all the great content here - you've rekindled my love of the Pups.

Sadly, I didn't discover the Meat Puppets until after they broke up. But they've become my favorite band and I'd die happy if I could see them perform just once. I've tracked down all the albums on vinyl. I feel nostalgia for an era I never experienced every time I see them on video. It's a strange feeling.

Wow! A seriously distant voice from the past! Furthermore, you've weighed in with a rarity that's eluded even my collection! I have none of the rejected mixes from the first album sessions! As I recall, Ed Barger and Laurie O'Connell took two different passes at the tapes, both drenched in reverb. This may require some personal correspondence!

Don't ask me why, but I was searching for Edmus Scary and came across this site. I'd forgotten all about Mad Garden. And Mardi Gras and the Church and a bunch of other places. JFA, Grant and the Geezers, Puppets... man it brings back some memories.

I saw Chris at a party. We were discussing Edmus Scary, Mad Gardens, and the old downtown scene. Chris looked good. It got me thinking of the first Puppet show I saw, it was at Crash Arts, Sun City Girls opened. Curt had these great boots on and a purple sparkling Kramer. I was 15 at the time and for me, a kid from the westside, it got me to ask my mom for a guitar on my birthday. 20 years later and two weeks ago, we just finished recording in LA with Bam Bam from JFA to get ready for a Netherlands tour this summer. Thanks
