Thanks Derrick. When my wife suggested the Forbidden Places cover would look good in our house, I thought I’d look into it a little further. I’ll assume that Curt kept all the original paintings.

The only posters that ever came out were promotional POS (point of sale) posters issued to record stores by the label. I see them show up on eBay from time to time.

Are there any posters/lithographs, etc. available of any of the album cover/jacket artwork? II, Huevos, Monsters and Forbidden Places—oh hell I enjoyed them all.

Thanks for any info you have.

On a side note, I saw the Puppets (sans you unfortunately) in SF a few months ago. While Kris didn’t look that great (although who would!) he seemed revitalized. Glad to see the brothers back together.

Stupid question (waiting for a good answer) : why “halloween” ? I mean, for “Lake of Fire” the lyrics are ‘Where do bad folks go when they die? (…) go to the lake of fire and fry’. Did you first think they goes into Halloween ? (:

I don’t know of any other songs called “Lake Of Fire” besides ours, which we first released in 1984 on the “II” album, then later released as a bonus track on “Too High To Die.” Nirvana didn’t cover it until 1993.

I do know of a lot of songs called “Halloween,” which is why we changed the name of our song from “Halloween” to “Lake Of Fire.”

i just want to know who was the first one to put “lake of fire” in a song;
by a simple search on google i allready found out that it’s from the bible ; so, my question is: in wich year did the meat puppets release “lake of fire”?(sorry i hadn’t time to actually look at the site)

Two things:
1) I’d like to know where I could find the odd stuff. I mean, I’ve got some compilations with puppets songs (Songs in the key of X, Fast track to nowhere and a couple of soundtracks) but I don’t know where I look for the other stuff (the most part).
2) Let me tell you that I think Curt Kirkwood is the most talented and unappreciated guy in the music business. I’ve been tried to get all the stuff where he’s involved (Eyes Adrift and different colaborations) but it’s very hard to find some of this stuff. So, it would be great if you could include a related discography with all the records where all of you had been involved (as producers, musicians, etc.)
Well, that’s it.
Derrick, thanks for all you have been doing to keeping the puppets alive.
